West Bank (Palestine)

The West Bank is home to almost three million people, including more than 50,000 Palestinian Christians.

It is also the location of many holy sites such as Bethlehem’s Church of the Nativity. Since 1967 the West Bank has been occupied by Israel. Communities here face daily challenges including violence, land confiscations, and restrictions on their movement.

Bethlehem

Bethlehem is the city of Christ’s birth and pilgrims come here from all over the world to visit the Church of the Nativity.

Hebron

Hebron is the only Palestinian city in the West Bank with an Israeli settlement at its centre.

Ramallah

Ramallah is the location of the Palestinian Authority headquarters and to many is considered a de-facto capital for the State of Palestine.

Nablus

Nablus is one of the West Bank’s largest cities and has a small but vibrant Christian community.
